Law firm Anthony Harper has announced the promotion of six lawyers, including the promotion of Alice von Batenburg to special counsel.

Alice von Batenburg is a transactional banking and finance lawyer who advises lenders and borrowers on a broad range of financing matters, with a particular focus on property and development, acquisition, corporate, consumer and retirement village financing. Since joining Anthony Harper in 2016, Alice has developed a reputation for providing an incredibly high level of client service, which has played a significant role in growing the firm's banking and finance practice.

The other lawyers recognised in the firm's mid-year promotions are:

• Sophie Judson: promoted to Associate, Banking, Financial Services, and Insolvency in Ōtautahi/Christchurch
• David Wakefield: promoted to Senior Solicitor, Corporate and Commercial in Ōtautahi/Christchurch
• Lockie 't Hooft: promoted to Senior Solicitor, Litigation in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland
• Remy Turi: promoted to Senior Solicitor, Litigation in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland
• William Fenton: promoted to Senior Solicitor, Property in Tāmaki Makaurau/Auckland

All new promotions are effective from 1 July 2025.
